We are the Arran Riding for the Disabled group based on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. We provide a riding club for children and adults who live on Arran.
We are a registered charity and are run entirely by volunteers. Our riders all have special needs and benefit from their regular one-hour riding sessions. They are able to take part in this activity with the support of our volunteers, and although progress is sometimes slow achievements are immensely rewarding.
Arran RDA aims to provide a quality learning and recreational experience, in a relaxed atmosphere of fun and companionship.
It is recognised that regular riding improves balance, concentration, co-ordination, communication, and confidence - to say nothing about the benefits of exercising regularly in the fresh air.
